Pure Projects provided Project Management and Construction Management Services for the Sands Theatre Conversion Project at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

The project entailed the decant of the existing Sands Theatre and conversion and change of use of the existing theatre space into a premium dining and entertainment facility which will be a joint effort operation between Marina Bay Sands and the Operator, Tao Group from New York USA. There are 3 venues - the restaurant from Tao called “Koma.”; Tao’s nightclub concept “Marquee” which is located in New York, Las Vegas and Sydney Australia; an ultra-lounge concept Avenue which is located underneath Marquee at Level B3. KOMA was designed by internationally recognised ID firm – Rockwell Group, led by David Rockwell and Marquee and Avenue was designed by iCrave from New York City.

The project was fast-tracked with demolition of the existing theatre space only taking up 3 months of the programme, with major structural and fit-out works being delivered within 12 months of the original 18-month programme. Pure Projects achieved yet another “mission impossible” for the Owners, allowing them to take full occupation of all venues in March 2019.
